General Information
The California Sound Collective (CSC) invites players to register for our community orchestra programs. CSC enables musicians at all levels to hone their skills in abilty appropriate environments. Through our program, the California Sound Collective creates exciting ways for the community to make music together!
Registration for both the Beginning Orchestra and the Advanced Amateur Orchestra is through the city of El Cerrito. See below for specific instructions for each group.
Limited financial assistance is available on a first come first served basis. If you are in need of financial assistance, please contact Maya Williams at mwilliams@ci.el-cerrito.ca.us or 510 215-4318 as soon as possible.

Group Specific Information
Beginning Orchestra
There is no screening for this group. If you're having difficulties registering, see the bottom of the page for details navigating the El Cerrito Recreation website.
Rehearsals are Monday evenings 7 pm to 9 pm from June 1 to August 22, 2020 at the Midtown Activity Center, 10940 San Pablo Avenue, El Cerrito. This group will meet 12 times for rehearsals and once for the concert on August 24, 2019. Cost is $195 ($15 X 13).
Advanced Orchestra
Players interested in the Advanced Amateur Orchestra should answer the Playing Level Questionnaire. A link to the form follows this description. Participants in this group must be on the Intermediate or Advanced level as described in the questionnaire. Your submissions will be automatically sent to our office. After being accepted by Mr. Ramadanoff, please register. If you're having difficulties registering, see the bottom of the page for details navigating the El Cerrito Recreation website.
Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings 7 pm to 9 pm from July 15 to August 22, 2020 at the Midtown Activity Center, 10940 San Pablo Avenue, El Cerrito. This group will meet 6 times for rehearsals and once for the concert on August 24, 2019. Cost is $105 ($15 X 7).
Navigating the El cerrito website
- Navigate to the Registration Page
- Create an account with the El Cerrito Recreation Department and sign in or sign in if you already have an account. An account with the City is required to enroll.
- After signing in, click on "Adult Programs"
- Use the Keyword Search (center box of the Search Criteria section) and type in orchestra
- Select either "Advanced Amateur Orchestra" or "Beginning "Orchestra"
- Then follow prompts to enroll.
